Public transport changes from 17 May 2025
On the weekend of 17 and 18 May 2025, several significant long-term closures are expected to start, which will result in timetable changes on selected lines.
Closure of Kounicova Street
Due to the reconstruction of utilities, roads and tram lines, Nerudova Street and part of Kounicova Street between the intersections with Zahradníkova and Šumavská Streets will be completely closed.
• Line 12 will be diverted to Bystrc, and a tram line x12 will provide substitute transport in the section Technologický park – Klusáčkova.
• The direct connection between the centre and the Technologický park will be provided by line 10, which will be diverted along Lidická Street and via the Medlánky depot.
• The restriction will also affect lines x4, 34, 36, N93 and N99, which will run on diversion routes.
Closure of Zábrdovická Street
Due to construction works at the intersection of Zábrdovická and Šámalova Streets, tram operations will be excluded in the section Vojenská nemocnice – Stará osada.
• Lines 2 and 3 will be terminated at the Vojenská nemocnice stop.
• As a substitute, lines 27, 55, 58, 64, x64, 78 and 201 will be extended from Stará osada or the stop Židenice, nádraží to the stop Vojenská nemocnice.
• The night lines N97 and N99 will also be affected.
Tram traffic restriction to Modřice
Due to the reconstruction of the tram line, trams to Modřice will be excluded.
• Line 2 will be terminated at the Bohunická stop.
• A replacement bus line x2 will provide substitute transport in the section Bohunická – Modřice, smyčka.
Closure of Zimní Street
Due to construction works, Zimní Street in Maloměřice will be completely closed.
- Line 64 will run only in the section Chrlice, smyčka – Židenice, railway station.
- An substitute bus line x64 will be introduced in the section Vojenská nemocnice – Stará osada – Červený písek – Švestková.
