Public transport changes from 18 May 2026
Starting Monday, May 18, 2026, timetables for selected lines will be adjusted in connection with the tram suspension on Masarykova Street, reinforcement of tram service and other operational changes.

Tram service suspension on Masarykova Street
Due to the completion of pavement repairs and the installation of retractable bollards preventing entry into the city center, tram service on Masarykova Street will not be possible from the start of service on Monday, May 18, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of June 2026), which will require comprehensive changes to tram routes in the city center.

Expansion of service to Brno-Tuřany Airport
As part of further efforts to make public transport more environmentally friendly, the connection between the city center and the airport will be provided by the new trolleybus line 21 on the route Hlavní nádraží – Letiště Tuřany - terminál. This line will fully replace the existing bus line E76 and, in addition, will run at a reduced 20-minute interval during the day.
• On the Hlavní nádraží – Řípská section, it will follow the route and stops of line 31; on the Řípská – Tuřany Airport Terminal section, it will follow the existing route and stops of line E76.
• At the Hlavní nádraží stip, the platform no. 11 will be served (at the trolleybus loop).

Changes to bus lines in the districts of Štýřice and Bohunice
Due to significant increase of frequency on tram line 8, bus line 40 will now operate on a shortened route Tuřany, Tovární – Úzká.
• In the direction from Úzká to Tuřany, it will follow the existing route.
• In the direction of Úzká, it will serve the ÚAN Zvonařka stop (platform no. 37) instead of the Autobusové nádraží stop.
• On the section (Studentská –) Nemocnice Bohunice – Ústřední hřbitov, it will be replaced by the extended line 69.
• For travel between Štýřice and the city center, passengers can use tram lines 2, 7, or 8, or regional bus lines 104, 105, and 108.
Circular bus lines 44 and 84 will continue to serve the Spielberk Office Center and the M-Palác area in an expanded capacity.
• Both lines will now serve the following stops: Holandská (stop next to the Hornbach shopping center) » Bidláky (reopened stop on Pražákova Street) » Strážní (at the traffic light intersection on Heršpická Street).
• The Strážní stop is also served by regional bus lines 104, 105, and 108 within the city of Brno on the shared route ÚAN Zvonařka – Strážní – Ústřední hřbitov.

Bus line 69 will operate on the route Bosonohy – Nemocnice Bohunice – Ústřední hřbitov. On the Bosonohy – Nemocnice Bohunice section, it will follow the existing route without change; on the Nemocnice Bohunice – Ústřední hřbitov section, it will operate on two route options:
• Approximately half of the services will follow the existing route via Kamenice Street to Ukrajinská Street and then via Lány Street to the Ústřední hřbitov, serving the following stops: Gruzínská, Za hřbitovem (only in the direction of the Ústřední hřbitov), Traťová, Bohunická (only in the direction of Ústřední hřbitov), and Ústřední hřbitov.
• The other half of the services will travel directly to Ústřední hřbitov via Jihlavská Street, serving the following stops: Stará nemocnice, Uzbecká (only in the direction of Nemocnice Bohunice), Krematorium, and Ústřední hřbitov.
• Selected services specified in the timetable will also continue to serve the Vltavská – Labská section and the Studentská stop.

Changes to bus lines in the district of Líšeň
In connection with the significant increase of frequency of tram line 8, the schedules for bus lines 55, 58, and 78 will be adjusted, and their routes will also be modified.
Bus line 58 will operate on the section Zetor, silnice – Malá Klajdovka in both directions via a the Novolíšeňská stop (stop for lines 25 and 27 toward Vinohrady).
• Selected services on line 58 during the morning and afternoon rush hours will operate only on the section Líšeň, hřbitov – Novolíšeňská.
Selected services on bus line 78 during the morning and afternoon rush hours will operate only on the section Areál Slatina – Jírova – Strnadova – Růženin dvůr – Novolíšeňská.
The above-mentioned selected services on lines 58 and 78 during weekday peak hours will be operationally connected at the Novolíšeňská stop.
