Service restriction in the Úvoz × Tvrdého intersection
The intersection of Úvoz and Tvrdého streets is scheduled to be closed on the weekend of October 3 and 4, 2026, due to road resurfacing work.
The restrictions will primarily affect lines 25 and 26, which will be replaced on the section between Mendlovo náměstí and Štefánikova čtvrť / Líšeň, Jírova by lines x25 and x26; these replacement lines will also take a detour through Pekařská, Husova, and Údolní streets in the affected section.
Lines 38 and 39 will also be affected; between Úvoz and Žlutý kopec, they will follow a detour route via Údolní and Jiříkovského / Lerchova streets.
Detailed information about the closure will be published in the week prior to its beginning at www.dpmb.cz and sent to registered users via the Newsletter service.

Launch of service in the Čtvrť Pod Hády location
Starting Thursday, October 1, 2026, bus line 63 will begin operating to the newly developed Pod Hády neighborhood.
Bus line 63 will run along the following route: Novolíšeňská – Růženin dvůr – Strnadova – Pod Hády.
• The new Pod Hády stop is located on the outskirts of the neighborhood on the connecting road leading from Pod Kavkami Street.
• The line will be in operation on both weekdays and weekends.

Temporary suspension of service on line 80
Due to reconstruction of the access road to the Špilberk Castle complex, bus line 80 will be out of service from Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The Hrad Špilberk stop cannot not be served.
Tram service suspension on Kníničská Street – final works
Due to final work on the reconstruction of the tram track on Kníničská Street, tram service will be suspended on Monday, September 28, 2026, on the section between Vozovna Komín and Bystrc, Ečerova.
Tram line 1 will operate only on the Řečkovice – Vozovna Komín section, from where it will continue as line 3 toward Stará osada.
• The stops on the section between Svratecká and Ečerova cannot be served.
• The Vozovna Komín stop will be served in both directions at a relocated location approximately at the level of the traffic-light-controlled intersection of Kníničská and Veslařská streets.
Tram line 3 will operate only on the Stará osada – Vozovna Komín section, from where it will continue as line 1 toward Řečkovice.
• The stops on the section between Svratecká and Rakovecká cannot be served.
• The Vozovna Komín stop will be served in both directions at a relocated location approximately at the level of the traffic-light-controlled intersection of Kníničská and Veslařská streets.
Tram lines 1 and 3 will be operationally connected at the Vozovna Komín stop.
Tram line 10 will operate on the section Stránská skála - smyčka – Vozovna Komín (the relocated stop of line 1).
Replacement service will be provided by regular bus line 54, which will be extended from the Zoologická zahrada stop (on Obvodová Street) to the Vozovna Komín stop (on Kníničská Street).
• It will not serve the Zoologická zahrada stop at the terminal (platform 5).
• In addition, the Kamenolom, Podlesí, Branka, Svratecká, and Vozovna Komín (the stop is located on Kníničská Street beyond the traffic-light-controlled intersection of Kníničská and Veslařská Streets) stops will be served.
Starting Tuesday, September 29, 2026, regular tram service will be fully restored in the Komín and Bystrc areas.

Trolleybus service diversion on Kociánka street
Due to the historic vehicles uphill race, operation of buses on Kociánka street will be restricted on Saturday 26 September 2026 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Trolleybus line 30 between the stops Mojmírovo náměstí and Rozárka / Klarisky will be diverted via Lesná in both directions.
• All stops between Högrova and Na kovárně will not be served.
• On the diversion route, services will serve only the stops Kociánka, Panská lícha and Štěpánkova. The stop Rozárka will be served also towards Královo Pole.

Weekend tram service suspension on Kníničská Street
Due to final work as part of the tram track reconstruction, there will be another change to the tram detour schedule on Kníničská Street over the weekend of September 26 and 27, 2026.
Tram line 1 will operate on a two-way detour between Nové sady and Svratecká stops, following the route of line 12 along Husova Street and the route of line 3 along Veveří and Minská Streets.
• As a result, the following stops will not be served: Hybešova, Václavská, Mendlovo náměstí, Výstaviště - hlavní vstup, Výstaviště - vstup G2, ARENA BRNO, Pisárky, Bráfova, Stránského, and Vozovna Komín.
Replacement service on the unserved section will be provided by special tram line P1 running on the route Komárov – Hlavní nádraží – Pisárky (– Vozovna Komín).
• On the Hlavní nádraží – Pisárky (– Vozovna Komín) section, it will follow the regular route of line 1.
• On the Pisárky – Vozovna Komín section (relocated stop at the traffic-light-controlled intersection of Kníničská and Veslařská streets), only single-line service will be provided; thus, the Pisárky, Bráfova, Stránského, and Vozovna Komín stops in the direction of Pisárky will be served at the platform for the opposite direction.
• The ARENA BRNO stop in the direction of the city center will be served from the platform in the tram loop on the bridge, in the direction away from the center, in a relocated position approximately 80 meters back.
• Trams terminating at the Pisárky stop will use the platform in the tram loop for exit; in the direction of the city center, the first stop will be the ARENA BRNO stop on the bridge.
Tram line 3 will follow its current route.
Tram line 10 will be extended to the Bystrc, Rakovecká stop.
It will still not be possible to serve the Vozovna Komín tram stop at its regular location; transfers between line P1 and lines 1, 3, and 10 will only be possible by walking between the relocated Vozovna Komín stop and the Sochorova stop.
This phase of the closure will be followed by the final phase of the closure on Monday, September 28, 2026 (more information in a separate post here).

Transport restriction in Vinohrady – 2nd phase
Due to the next phase of road resurfacing work, traffic will be restricted on a section of Věstonická Street from 11:10 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of October).
Lines 25, 27, 78, and N99 will not serve the Mutěnická stop in the direction of Novolíšeňská / Malá Klajdovka.
• The Bořetická stop will be relocated approximately 75 metres forward.
• In the direction to Pálavské náměstí, all stops will be served.

Temporary relocation of the stop Ústřední hřbitov towards centre
Due to emergency repairs to the water mains, from 8.45 am on Thursday 10 September 2026 until the work is completed (expected by 25 September 2026), the stop Hviezdoslavova for lines 33 and N96 towards the city centre are relocated approximately 120 metres backwords.
Temporary relocation of the stop Říčanská towards Ečerova
Due to excavation work, from 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by September 30, 2026), the Říčanská stop on lines E50, 52, 54, and N98 towards Ečerova will be relocated approximately 100 meters forward (in front of the Albert supermarket).
Temporary relocation of the stop V aleji
Due to construction work, the V aleji stop for lines 48, 64, š85 and N95 will be relocated from 8:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 until the work is completed (expected by mid-November 2026):
• In the direction away from the city center, the stop will be moved approximately 210 meters backward.
• In the direction toward the city center, the stop will be moved approximately 260 meters forward.
Temporary relocation of the Hlavní nádraží stop for line š86
Due to construction work, from Tuesday, September 1, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by mid-October 2026), the Hlavní nádraží stop for school bus line š86 will be relocated to platform No. 6 at the bus station near the Grand Hotel on Benešova Street.

Tram service restriction in Kníničská Street – 3rd phase
Due to the third phase of tram track reconstruction, tram service through the Vozovna Komín stop will continue to be limited from the start of service on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of September 2026).
The regular tram stops Vozovna Komín (in both directions) and Komín, smyčka will not be served.
• For line 1 and the shortened evening services on line 3, the Vozovna Komín stop (in both directions) will obe established at a relocated location approximately 275 meters closer to the city center, at the intersection of Kníničská and Veslařská streets.
Tram line 1 will operate on its regular route Řečkovice – Bystrc, Ečerova.
• The Vozovna Komín stop will be served in both directions at the relocated position (see above).
Tram line 3 will operate on its regular route Stará osada – Bystrc, Rakovecká.
• The Vozovna Komín stop will not be served by services operating along the entire route.
• Shortened evening services from Stará osada will be diverted from the Sochorova stop to the relocated Vozovna Komín stop (stop for line 1 towards Řečkovice), where passengers will be able to transfer to line 1 towards Bystrc.
Tram line 10 will operate only on the section Novolíšeňská / Stránská skála - smyčka – Sochorova.
Barrier-free transfers between bus and tram lines will not be possible at the Vozovna Komín stop.
Due to the single-track section between the Vozovna Komín / Sochorova and Svratecká stops, lines 1 and 3 may experience operational delays of 0–10 minutes.

Branka Street closure
Due to construction works, the section of Branka Street between the junctions with Kníničská and Hlavní Streets will be closed to all traffic from 4:30 AM on Monday 27 July 2026 until the works are completed (expected by November 2026).
Trolleybus line 30 will operate on a two-way diversion in the Štursova – Podlesí section via Kníničská and Veslařská streets and past the Komín depot.
• It will not serve the Podveská, Svratecká (on Hlavní Street) and Lísky stops.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the stops Hlavní, Vozovna Komín, Svratecká (on Kníničská Street) and Branka (stops on route N89).
Night bus line N93 will operate on a two-way diversion in the Štursova – Kristenova section via Hlavní Street.
• It will not serve the stops Hlavní, Vozovna Komín, Jundrovská, Svratecká (on Kníničská Street) and Lísky.
• On the diversion route, it will serve the stops Podveská and Svratecká (on Hlavní Street).
The N93 night bus will continue to run along its usual route on the morning of Monday 27 July. The disruption measures will come into effect during the night from Monday 27 to Tuesday 28 July.
Due to the diversion of line N93, the direct connections with line N89, N92 and N98 at the Svratecká stop can not be provided. Guaranteed connections during the disruption will be provided as follows:
• Between lines N89 and N93: direct transfers in both directions at the Vrázova stop.
• From line N92 to line N93: when travelling from the city centre, a direct transfer at the Štursova stop; when travelling towards the city centre, two transfers are required – first to line N89 at the Svratecká stop and then to line N93 at the Vrázova stop.
• From line N93 to line N92: when travelling from the city centre, two transfers are required – to line N89 at the Vrázova stop and then to line N92 at the Svratecká stop; when travelling towards the city centre, a direct transfer at the Štursova stop.
• From line N98 to line N93: transfer can not be provided when travelling away from the city centre; when travelling towards the city centre, two transfers are required – to the line N89 at the Svratecká stop and then to the line N93 at the Vrázova stop.
• From line N93 to line N98: when travelling away from the city centre, two transfers are required – to the line N89 at the Vrázova stop and then to the line N98 at the Svratecká stop; when travelling towards the city centre, a direct transfer at the at the Svratecká stopstop (with a short walk from Hlavní Street to Kníničská Street).

Seasonal operation of line H4
From Saturday 4 July 2026, line H4 operated by historic tram will be in service on weekends and public holidays.
Line H4 follows the route Komenského náměstí – Česká – Náměstí Svobody – Zelný trh – Hlavní nádraží – Nové sady – Hybešova – Václavská – Mendlovo náměstí.
On line H4, standard tariff of IDS JMK applies with exception of transporting bikes and heavy luggage, which is forbidden in historic vehicles. The historic tram operating on this line is not equipped with a ticket vending machine. Operation is expected till Monday September 28 2026 Sunday October 4 2026.

Temporary relocation of the stop Obřany, sídlliště towards Obřanský most
Due to ongoing construction work, starting at 7:00 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of October 2026), the Obřany, sídliště stop for line x75 in the direction of Obřanský most will be relocated approximately 50 metres to the right onto a parallel road to the regular exit stop.
Temporary relocation of the stop Hlavní nádraží for lines 47 and 49
UPDATE: Based on the latest information, the bus stop will be moved back to its original location starting Saturday, September 26, 2026. Lines 47 and 49 will therefore once again serve platform 12 in front of the bus station near the Grand Hotel.
Due to hot water pipeline reconstruction, the boarding stop Hlavní nádraží for lines 47 and 49 will be temporarily relocated from Monday, June 8, 2026, and will remain so until Friday, September 25, 2026 (expected by mid-October 2026).

Fryčajova Street Closure
Due to reconstruction of utility networks and road surfaces, Fryčajova Street in Obřany is closed to all traffic from 6:15 AM on Saturday, November 1, 2025 until completion of the work (expected at least till spring in 2027).

Temporary cancellation of service at the Adamcova stop
UPDATE: Based on the latest information from the contractor, the service suspension will end early on Friday, September 4, 2026, in the evening. Service to the Adamcova stop on line 50 in the direction of the Zoo will resume no later than Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Due to construction work, starting at 7:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by mid-September 2026), the Hybešova stop will be relocated:
• In the direction away from the city center approximately 110 meters forward (with the exception of line N97, which will continue to serve the stop at its original position).

Due to extensive road resurfacing work, traffic will be restricted on a section of Věstonická Street from 4:45 AM on Monday, July 13, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of August 2026 September, 12).
Lines 25, 27, 78, and N99 will not serve the Bořetická and Mutěnická stops in the direction of Pálavské náměstí.
• Passengers can use the Čejkovická and Pálavské náměstí stops as alternatives.

Bus transport restriction in the Kamechy housing estate
Due to the relocation of utility lines in connection with the construction of a tram line, from 6:45 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of August 2026), a part of Kamechy Street (between the intersections with Hostislavova and Žabí Streets) will be closed to all traffic.
Bus lines 52 and N98 will be diverted in both directions via Listnatá Street between the Říčanská and Žebětínský rybník stops.
• The Kavčí, Chvalovka, and Kamechy stops will not be served.
• The Říčanská stop will be served in both directions at a relocated position on Říčanská Street in front of the Albert supermarket.
• Buses on line N98 that normally terminate at the Kamechy stop will follow their regular route.
Bus line 54 will serve the Kamechy housing estate in the opposite direction than normally.
• The line will serve the stops in order (Ruda) » Říčanská » Kavčí » Chvalovka » Kamechy » Říčanská » (Ruda).
• The Kavčí and Chvalovka stops will be served in the opposite direction (regular stops of line 52 towards Žebětín).
• The Kamechy stop will be served in the opposite direction at a relocated position on Kamechy Street before the intersection with Křepelčí Street.
• The Říčanská stop in the direction of Ečerova will be served at a relocated position together with lines E50, 52, and N98.
Bus line E50 will serve the stops in the Kamechy housing estate in the opposite direction than normally.
• In the direction from Slatina, it will run from the Ruda stop along the route Říčanská » Kavčí » Chvalovka » Kamechy.
• In the direction to Slatina, it will follow the route Kavčí » Chvalovka » Kamechy (relocated stop before the intersection with Křepelčí Street) » Říčanská (relocated stop before the Albert supermarket) » Ečerova and then continue along the regular route.
The regular stops Kamechy, Chvalovka, Kavčí on lines E50, 52, 54, and N98, normally served in the direction of Ečerova, will be out of service during the diversion. The Říčanská stop will be relocated to Říčanská Street, in front of the Albert supermarket, for all lines in both directions.

Tram service restriction in Bystrc
Due to tram track reconstruction, tram service will be suspended on the Kubíčkova – Ečerova section from Saturday, June 27, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of August 2026).
Tram line 3 will terminate at the Rakovecká loop during the closure.
• The stops Kubíčkova, Ondrouškova, and Ečerova will not be served.
Replacement transport in the closed section will be provided by bus line 54 (on its regular route), which will be reinforced compared to the regular timetable.
All measures currently in place due to the ongoing tram service suspension at the Ečerova loop remain in effect.
Due to construction work on the tram line on Kníničská Street, there will likely be another change to the routing of tram lines 1, 3, and 10 in the Komín and Bystrc areas starting Monday, July 6, 2026.

Olomoucká Street Closure
Due to construction work, a section of Olomoucká Street at the railway overpass will be closed to all traffic from 11:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of August 2026).
Trolleybus line 21 will operate on the Olomoucká – u školy – Brněnky section via a two-way detour along Těžební, Vlastimila Pecha, and Švédské valy streets .
• The Staré letiště, Černovičky, and Vlárská stops will not be served.
• On the detour route, the stops Těžební, Vlastimila Pecha, and Ericha Roučky will be served.
Trolleybus line 31 will operate on the Tržní / Životského – Černovičky section without stopping, via a two-way detour along Ostravská Street.
•The Spáčilova, Olomoucká - u školy, and Staré letiště stops will not be served.
• The Černovičky stop towards Hlavní nádraží will be served on Bělohorská Street (stop for line 75).
Trolleybus line 33 and night bus line N96 will operate on the Olomoucká - u školy – Černovičky section via a two-way detour along Těžební, Vlastimila Pecha, Švédské valy, and Řípská streets.
• The Staré letiště stop will not be served.
• On the detour route, the stops Těžební, Vlastimila Pecha, Ericha Roučky, and Vlárská (on Řípská Street) will be served.
• The Černovičky stop towards Hlavní nádraží will be served on Řípská Street (stop for line 31 toward Šlapanice).
• Selected peak-hour additional services marked “P33” will travel on the Tržní / Životského – Černovičky section via a two-way detour along Ostravská Street; when heading towards Hlavní nádraží, they will serve the Černovičky stop on Bělohorská Street.

Tram service restriction in Renneská Street
Due to reconstruction, tram service in Renneská Street will be suspended from 10:50 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026, until the work is completed (expected by the end of August).
Tram lines 7 and 8 will run on a detour via Hybešova and Vídeňská streets between Hlavní nádraží – Krematorium.
• The Soukenická, Křídlovická, Vojtova, and Vsetínská stops will not be served by these lines.
• All the stops along the detour route will be served.
• The Nové sady stop will be served on track 1 and 2.
Replacement transport in the excluded section will be provided by tram shuttle line "X" on the route Hlavní nádraží (in front of the post office) – Křídlovická.
• Only the stops normally served in the direction from the center will be served in both directions (tram will run only on one track).
• The stops Vsetínská, Vojtova, Křídlovická, Soukenická in the direction to the center and Nové sady (track 4) will therefore be completely out of service.
Night bus line N90 in the direction from Kohoutovice to Hlavní nádraží will run between Celní – Hlavní nádraží along Vídeňská and Poříčí streets.
• The Vojtova stop will not be served.
• On the detour route the Nemocnice milosrdných bratří stop will be served.

Temporary relocation of the stop Záhumenice
UPDATE: Based on the latest information from the contractor, the closure will end early on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m. The Záhumenice stop will return to its original location on Kšírova Street.
Due to water main repairs, the section of Kšírova Street between the intersections with Sokolova Street and K Terminálu Street will be closed to traffic from 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, and will remain closed until the work is completed (expected by the end of September 2026).
Bus lines 49 and N94 will operate on a two-way detour via Sokolova, Bednářova, and K Terminálu streets between the stops Horní Heršpice – Havránkova.
• The stop Záhumenice will be served at its relocated location on Bednářova Street.
• Services taking the detour via the stops Bednářova and K terminálu will serve these stops without restriction.

Bus service restriction on Houbalova Street
UPDATE: Based on the latest information from the contractor, the service interruption will end early on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10:35 PM. For more information, see the separate post here.
Due to road construction, Houbalova Street will be closed for buses from 4:50 AM on Monday, May 11, 2026, until 10:35 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026 (expected by mid-October 2026).
Bus lines 55 and N98 will operate on a two-way detour via Jedovnická Street between Bílá hora and Elplova stops.
• The Vlkova and Houbalova stops will not be served.
• On the detour route, the Růženin dvůr and Strnadova stops will be served.
The Vlkova and Houbalova stops will be completely out of service for the duration of the closure.
• As an alternative, passengers may use the stops on the detour route, or the Novolíšeňská and Masarova stops.

Temporary relocation of the stop Velodrom towards Mendlovo náměstí
Due to construction work, the section of road between Křížkovského and Bauerova streets in front of Gate 4 of the BVV Exhibition Grounds will be closed to all traffic from Monday, May 4, until the work is completed (expected by the end of August 2026).
Bus lines 44 and N98 towards Mendlovo náměstí will be rerouted via Bauerova and Poříčí streets; the Velodrom stop will be served at a relocated position on Poříčí Street before the intersection with Rybářská Street.
